In the Greek mythology, Agapé means unconditional love, a love of mankind.
The highest form of love. The intention behind Agapé is to create a group dynamic based on listening attentively and selflessly.
Dancers expose themselves, inviting the audience to join them in surrendering to a state of vulnerability and openness, exploring togetherness and community.
Agape rests on embracing individual differences and accepting the fullness of ourselves and others. Is that the collective that creates the individual, or the individuals that create the community?
The dance ressembles this dialogue between the two.
This collective piece resting on trust and connection seeks to embody a utopia in which functioning and fair community stands strong in opposition to the adversity of the unjust realities of our society.
Dancing as a collective builds strength, security, generosity and mutual understanding, and makes us go beyond duality .
